JUSTIN RUBENSTEIN, OWNER AND CHIEF COLLABORATION OFFICER
Justin, hailing from Bucks County, is deeply rooted in the local community, having attended school there himself. His firsthand experience equips him to understand the rigors and competitiveness inherent in school life, encompassing academics, athletics, and social dynamics. Through his over 20 years of work in the area, Justin is recognized for his dedication to assisting both children and families.
During his downtime, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, maintaining a healthy lifestyle through exercise, listening to music, and avidly following various sports. His background as a former college baseball player and youth and collegiate coach adds depth to his understanding of athletic and team dynamics.
With extensive expertise in the educational system, Justin adeptly navigates challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, educational advocacy, and concussion management. As a state and nationally certified school psychologist, he has fulfilled diverse roles, ranging from teaching to serving as a concussion consultant with the esteemed BrainSTEPS Program.
Justin adopts a comprehensive approach, providing direct therapy and coaching interventions while fostering collaboration with a network of healthcare professionals and educational stakeholders. Known for his relatable demeanor, Justin effortlessly connects with children, fostering a light-hearted atmosphere in his work.
In addressing mental health and academic hurdles like ADHD and concussions, Justin cultivates a passion for learning in students and alleviates tension between parents and children.
For individuals grappling with anxiety, Justin imparts practical strategies to manage social, academic, or performance-related anxieties, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.
As a referral partner to psychiatric providers and psychologists, Solutions for Education provides access to evaluation services. While currently not accepting insurance, we are transparent about our fee schedule and eager to discuss any inquiries.
Heather Karmazin, a Bucks County resident, has dedicated the past 16 years to counseling students across various districts. For the past 15 years, she has been an integral part of BrainSTEPS, a nationally recognized brain injury consulting team.
When not working, Heather cherishes moments with her husband, two children, and furry companion. Exploring new destinations, cooking with her kids, and admiring art in museums are among her favorite activities.
Drawing from her experience as a former teacher in Camden, NJ, Heather empowers clients with executive functioning skills and social-emotional strategies crucial for academic and personal growth. At Solutions, she serves as a versatile coach, counselor, and consultant, tailoring her methods to ensure client success. Heather's enthusiasm stems from her interactions with families, driven by a shared desire for their children's well-being. Her expertise centers on supporting children, teenagers, and young adults in acquiring academic, social, and emotional tools for real-time application.
Continuously evolving, Heather stays updated on innovative approaches, frequently speaking at conferences to advocate for diverse learners.
Sarah Reeder is a Bucks County resident and a nationally certified counselor with 20 years of high school experience. Sarah began her career as an English teacher before moving into the world of school counseling. She is currently the College and Career Readiness Counselor for her district, where she specializes in postsecondary planning. For Solutions, Sarah will serve as both an Executive Functioning Coach and College Specialist. Sarah has also written curriculum for College Essay Guy, spoken at national conferences about career readiness, and served on advisory councils for local colleges.
Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and very spoiled dog. Whether she is cheering for her sons or the Phillies, the baseball field is her happy place. She also loves to exercise, watch musical theater, bake (and eat) desserts, and read.
Sarah is passionate about helping students discover colleges that will allow them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. She believes that the college search and application process should be a rewarding time of self-discovery for students and their families. She walks families through the process from start to finish, bringing a sense of organization to a process that can quickly become overwhelming. With Sarah’s guidance, students learn how to highlight their individual strengths in every portion of the application, resulting in a cohesive package that stands out amongst a crowded applicant pool.
With her background as both an English teacher and a school counselor, Sarah is uniquely qualified to help students with their college essays. She emphasizes the brainstorming process to inspire students to realize that they have incredible stories to share, and she helps them bring those stories to life in order to add depth to their application.
Sarah recognizes that the college process is different for every student. Academic support, scholarship programs, financial aid, athletics, college interviews, and college visits are just some of the many topics that often become stumbling blocks for families. Sarah’s goal is to empower students to navigate this process successfully, gaining both independence and confidence as a result.
Marcus Smith, a dedicated School Counselor and Outpatient Therapist, has been serving his community for over a decade. Born and raised in Bucks County, PA, Marcus has cultivated a deep understanding of the local community and its unique challenges. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with National Board Certification, Marcus brings expertise and compassion to his work. For Solutions, Marcus will serve as both an Executive Functioning Coach and Therapist.
With nearly 15 years of experience in the field, Marcus specializes in working with children and teenagers, providing them with the support and guidance they need to navigate the complexities of adolescence. Additionally, he addresses family dynamics, recognizing their profound impact on individual well-being. Marcus's holistic approach to therapy encompasses individual, family, and group counseling sessions.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Marcus finds fulfillment in his roles as a husband and father to two wonderful girls. Family is at the core of his values, and he cherishes the moments spent together. An advocate for maintaining physical health, Marcus prioritizes regular exercise as a means of self-care and stress management.
